Oxenholme

Oxenholme is a very small village with a few guest houses, pubs, bed and breakfasts and hotels which accommodate guests arriving or leaving the Lakes via the mainline train. A couple of establishments are conveniently within walking distance of the station and the rest are easy to get to via taxi.

There is a local pub for food and the bustling market town of Kendal is not very far away by taxi. Windermere is an easy 20-minute train ride away along the Lakes line. The main advantage for Oxenholme is its convenience for the mainline if you are only staying overnight or for a day or two.

One of the meeting-points for our tours is situated outside the train station at Oxenholme.
