Overview
The All Creatures Great and Small Tour is a small-group minivan tour from the Lake District into the Yorkshire Dales, visiting the real filming locations of the PBS Masterpiece and Channel 5 series. No more than seven guests travel with a guide who knows which scene was filmed where.
In Grassington, the market town that plays Darrowby, you stand outside Skeldale House and the Drovers Arms. We stop for lunch at a nearby pub where interior scenes for the Drovers were filmed. The day also takes in the village green at Arncliffe, Broughton Hall, which appears as Mrs. Pumphrey's home, Yockenthwaite, the Aldersons' farm, and two churches: St Wilfrid's at Burnsall, where Helen so nearly married Hugh, and Hubberholme, where she married James. Between the stops lie the stone barns, dry-stone walls and high green hills that James Herriot wrote about, every bit as beautiful as they look on screen.

Follow in the footsteps of James, Siegfried, Tristan, Helen and Mrs. Hall as you stroll through Darrowby village, past the Vet's Surgery and the Greengrocers to the Drovers Arms. Wave to Mrs. Pumphrey and Tricki Woo as you pass by their mansion. You pass over the narrow bridge where James always encounters another vehicle, on your way to Helen's family farm set in the stunning Yorkshire Dales scenery, dotted with sheep and friendly cattle.
You will visit these and other locations in a comfy, air-conditioned minivan accompanied by an expert local guide who is usually also your driver. There will only be a maximum of 7 guests on your tour so there is plenty of laughter, conversations and photo stops.
