A day in Herriot country
Our All Creatures Great and Small tour visits the Yorkshire Dales filming locations of the series shown on PBS Masterpiece, on a full day with a guide who knows both the stories and the Dales.
The real Darrowby
James Herriot's books about life as a country vet in the Dales became one of television's best-loved series. Grassington plays the market town of Darrowby, with Skeldale House on its square, and the tour also visits the church at Hubberholme where James and Helen were married, the farms and the open fell roads, and stops for lunch at a pub with its own part in the story.
What you'll see
- Grassington, the real Darrowby, and Skeldale House
